David attended the Ogun State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) in 1988. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1989 and he obtained a Masters of Laws (LL.M.) in 2000 from the University of Lagos. David’s forte is advising clients on issues of commercial and corporate law. Highlights of the work done by David is as follows:

From 2000 through 2008, on behalf of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and the Central Bank of Nigeria, David regularly conducted Due Diligence and supervision of issuance of licenses to companies seeking license to operate Primary Mortgage Institutions all over Nigeria.  He investigated all the promoters of all the companies who applied for licenses and ascertained all financial and asset claims made by the Applicants for the licenses. He also ascertained and verified all Applicants’ references and recommended appropriate action to the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and the Central Bank of Nigeria by way of Final Legal Opinion.

David also consulted for the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria in the course of which he conducted a forensic audit of several Primary Mortgage Institutions that applied for licenses and approvals to build private estates all over Nigeria from 2001 to 2008. He was the leader of the Supervisory Team that vetted all Memoranda of Understanding, Shareholders’ Agreements and all other material agreements, advised on the Information Memorandum and purchase offer documents and also filed and obtained approvals from Regulatory Authorities.
